Details
At A Glance
The Blackmagic Design DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G is an 8-lane PCIe Gen2 digital cinema capture and playback card built around two multi-rate 12G-SDI inputs and outputs, supporting everything from SD up through DCI 4K (4096 x 2160). It uses a mezzanine design, with a second daughter card providing 4K HDMI I/O and expansion slots for two optional Dual Link optical fiber SDI modules. The card handles 10-bit YUV and 8/10/12-bit RGB color, including full-bandwidth 4:4:4:4 up/down/cross conversion and 3D stereoscopic output. Additional I/O includes AES/EBU and RCA audio, analog video, reference input, and RS-422 deck control via the included breakout cable. It's well suited for digital cinema workflows, multi-format ingest, and edit/color suites that need to move between SD, HD, UHD, and DCI 4K sources on a single card.
