The Datapath dL8 is a 1U rack-mount distribution amplifier built to split a single Dual-Link DVI source into eight identical, frame-locked outputs. It accepts any single- or dual-link DVI signal, including resolutions up to and beyond Quad-HD (3840 x 2160) at pixel clocks up to 330MHz, and uses active TMDS equalization and re-clocking to accept input cable runs up to 20m without signal degradation. A fully programmable EDID engine lets the dL8 present a consistent, controlled display mode to the source regardless of what's connected downstream. It's designed to pair with Datapath's x4 (formerly XL4) stand-alone wall controllers, and with up to eight x4 units connected, a single dL8 can drive video walls of up to 32 screens. This makes it a practical core component for large-format video wall installs, control rooms, and any application needing one clean DVI source distributed to multiple synchronized displays.
